Carl Bildt comments on Thai Swedish Agreement

Carl Bildt, Foreign Minister of Sweden, signed on March 4, 2013 an agreement – the “joint plan of action” – with Thailand during the visit to Sweden of Thailand’s Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul together with other high level government figures and a large business delegation.

In this video issued by Carl Bildt’s ministry, the foreign minister comments on the agreement which covers the period 2013-2017. The agreement covers a wide range of cooperation areas, including environment and energy, information and communication technology, research and education, health and elder care, design, regional development and defense.

Carl Bildt says the agreement means new opportunities for Swedish and Thai businesses to make contacts, conduct business, and sharing knowledge. The agreement highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between the countries.
