Consulate General in Chongqing hosts H.C. Andersen Day

On the 31st of May the Consulate General of Denmark in Chongqing hosted a Hans Christian Andersen event.

The Royal Danish Consulate General in Chongqing hosted a Hans Christian Andersen Day the 31st of May in order to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Denmark and the 10th anniversary of the Royal Danish Consulate General in Chongqing.

During the morning Consul General Anja Villefrance together with a high-level representative from the Women’s Association in Chongqing read H.C. Andersen fairy tales at a big stage on the most popular pedestrian street in Chongqing – Jiefangbei. Chinese parents and kids enjoyed the read out greatly.

After the fairy tale read-out the Consul General gave a speech about the Sino-Danish bilateral relationship.
