Copenhagen warms up to Danish delegation to Indonesia

On March 3 – March 5, the Danish Minister of Trade and Investments, Pia Olsen Dyhr, will be visiting Indonesia with members of Danish Industry (DI). The purpose of the visit is to build a bridge between the two nations and look at which opportunities the country might hold for Danish investors.

In cooperation with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Asia House in Copenhagen hosted a warm up event with participants from both Indonesia and Denmark.

There was a big turn up at the event with several prominent guests such as Executive Director of Danish Industry, Jens Holst-Nielsen, Morten Jaepelt, who is CEO of Scan-Group, that has four offices in Indonesia, Geir Helgesen who is head of Nordic Institute of Asian Studies and many more.

Pia Olsen Dyhr started the event by talking about the expectations  for Danish-Indonesian cooperation and the opportunities for Danish businesses in Indonesia.

Also present was Indonesian Ambassador, Dr. H. Bomer Pasaribu who took took the opportunity to talk about a bright future for Indonesia where the middle class could soon grow to 90 million people. He drew attention to the development in Indonesia where they can now boast an annual 6 percent growth rate.
