Danish Ambassador to Myanmar John Nielsen participated in a steering committee meeting for the Coastal Climate Adaptation programme in Myanmar.
The meeting took place during the second week of November and was held at the Forest Department, where Permanent Secretary U Khin Maung Yi also participated.
They discussed the progress and implementation aspects of the Coastal Climate Adaptation programme, according to the Embassy of Denmark in Myanmar.
Through this programme, Denmark supports the Forest Department’s implementation of mangrove rehabilitation and management activities in Rakhine and Thanintharyi. The programme started in early 2018.
