Danish father & son among tourists hurt in Krabi boating accident

A Danish father and his young son was hospitalised after two speedboats collided at sea about one kilometre from Krabi’s popular tourist attraction of Ao Nang this afternoon.speedboats

Six people were hurt when one speedboat, owned by Barracudas Tour, with 17 tourists on board, crashed into another, owned by Centara Grand Beach Resort with 10 passengers around 3.30 pm on 24 February.

Two injured tourists, Jens Jorgen Andersen, 27, from Denmark and his four-year-old son, Anto, were taken to Krabi Hospital. Jens Jorgen suffered chest injuries while his young son sustained leg injuries.

All passengers were either rescued by marine police or taken ashore to safety. Police have yet to determine which of the speedboat captains were at fault.
