Denmark and Indonesia have extended their government-to-government energy partnership for another five years, reinforcing cooperation on the green transition and renewable energy, Petromindo reports.
The agreement was signed on 20 July by Eniya Listiani Dewi, Indonesia’s Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, and Danish Ambassador to Indonesia Sten Frimodt Nielsen, representing the Danish Energy Agency.
Under the new phase of the Indonesia-Denmark Energy Partnership Programme (INDODEPP II), the two countries will work together on long-term energy planning, integration of renewable energy into Indonesia’s power grid, improved energy efficiency and low-carbon development in selected provinces.
Denmark and Indonesia have cooperated on Indonesia’s energy transition since 2015, with Denmark contributing expertise in renewable energy integration and long-term energy planning.
