ECCP’s Luncheon Meeting with Philippines’ Secretary of Trade

European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) held a Membership Luncheon Meeting on creating an enabling business environment for trade and investments with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Taking place at Dusit Thani, Manila on Thursday, 21 March 2019, the meeting was opened by the key speaker, Ramon M. Lopez, Secretary of Trade and Industry Department, who presented a summary of DTI’s achievements and the progress of DTI’s policies in the past year.

Secretary Lopez underlined several topics that are priority to the European-Philippine business community such as the Implementation of the Ease of Doing Business, DTI’s position on fiscal reforms, DTI’s view on contractualization, the reforms for increasing the Philippine business community’s potential and the plans and priorities of DTI in the future.
