Finland and Canada celebrate independence with Ice Hockey Match

Two ice hockey loving countries are celebrating big birthdays this year. Finland is celebrating their 100 year of independence while Canada is celebrating 150. On Saturday 6 May 2017, the two countries got together celebrate in their anniversaries with an expat ice hockey match in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the Embassy of Finland in Kuala Lumpur, there was a huge crowd cheering for both teams as Sunway Pyramid Mall was packed with hundreds and hundreds of interested spectators.

 

H.E. Ambassador Petri Puhakka of Finland and the Canadian High Commissioner, Judith St. George were there to hand the trophies and cheer for the teams as Canada won 10-7 over Finland.
