A Finnish man has survived a five meter fall after he jumped down into the Pattaya tunnel on Sukhumvit Road on Sunday 15 January 2017. Thairath reports the man to be aged around 30 years.

His jump was recorded by a motorcycle taxi rider who was waiting at a rank nearby, reports Thairath. The witness explains that the Finn seemed drunk. He was seen running out of the Soi where the Sanam Golf course is located, after which he stood by the tunnel for five minutes before leaping off.

Sawang Boriboon Pattaya medics gave treatment at the scene before the Finn was transferred to Banglamung Hospital where he was found to have serious injuries to both arms.

Police will be interviewing him to discover what was behind his actions.
