In May 2016 HERRMANS will open a warehouse of bicycle components in Shanghai in China.
“There are nine million bicycles in Beijing, that’s a fact” goes the famous Katie Melua song, and another fact is the increasing demand for faster deliveries of bicycle equipments with production in China. Therefore Finnish HERRMANS will help diminish time with a warehouse in Shanghai,
“With the warehouse we will reduce the lead time so we can reach the entire Chinese coastline within two days. We will start filling the warehouse as soon as we receive the forecasts from the OEM’S (original equipment manufacturer),” says Sales Director Ronny Höglund at HERRMANS.
The target group for the bonded warehouse is all Chinese OEM´s that export their bicycles. The 3.000 sqm warehouse is situated only five kilometers from the WGQ seaport. The range in stock depends on customer demands and their forecasts, but will consist of grips, lights, reflectors and rim tape. Operations (ordering and invoicing) will be handled by HERRMANS headquarters in Jakobstad, Finland.
