
A 21-year-old Finnish man was critically injured after falling from the fourth floor of a hotel in Udon Thani on the evening of Friday 14 November 2025, according to Thai media.
The man, identified as Vesa Mikko Juhani Vertara, fell from the fourth floor of a seven-storey hotel on Prajak Silpakorn Road at around 23:30. Emergency responders from Muang Udon Thani Police Station, 191 patrol units, Udon Thani Hospital and the Promprom Foundation found him on the ground in front of the hotel lobby with severe injuries, including broken legs and head trauma.
He was conscious but minimally responsive before being transferred to Bangkok-Udon Thani Hospital for treatment. His father and stepmother were present at the scene and provided information to police. The family had arrived in Udon Thani earlier the same afternoon to visit the stepmother’s hometown.
According to statements given to police, the young man had not consumed alcohol prior to the fall. Authorities are coordinating with the Tourist Police to support the investigation, and CCTV footage is being reviewed. His condition remains critical.
