Guardforce Aviation Security Signs MoU with Suan Dusit University Offering Commercial Aviation Security Training to Students

Guardforce Aviation Security Co., Ltd, Thailand’s leading aviation security expert, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Suan Dusit University to impart Guardforce’s aviation security expertise and experience to the university’s students. This marked the first-of-its-kind innovative partnership between a global security company and a non-profit public higher education institution to prepare students for a career in aviation security.

Under the agreement, Guardforce Aviation Security will offer support to gear up Suan Dusit’s students on both theoretical and practical aspects of aviation security. The goal is to equip students with commercial sector professional knowhow and the competency for joining the aviation security industry immediately upon graduation.

Guardforce is best equipped to provide aviation security training in Thailand. The company is authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) to have accredited professional trainers provide mandated aviation security training to industry personnel on carrying out security checks at airports. CAAT requires all airport staff and workers performing security-related duties to undergo regular airport security training. Guardforce is one of a few authorised agents in Thailand approved to provide such training.

“We believe that in the security business, good professional staff make all the difference,” said  Mr. Chanat Suksuwannatorn, Managing Director of Guardforce Security (Thailand) Co., Ltd, upon signing the MoU on behalf of the Guardforce Aviation Security Co., Ltd. “Training is extremely important for this industry – professionalism in security services can only be achieved through the development of professional knowledge, skills and efficiency. This is why this partnership is important not only for us as a company, but also for the Thailand’s aviation industry and the community as a whole.”

“With airports being the first point of contact for visitors entering Thailand, and given that tourism is a major economic contributor to the Kingdom, it is important for airport security personnel to be effective gatekeepers while ensuring the security process is pleasant, reflecting the congeniality of the Thai people and Thailand’s global image as a welcoming and safe destination,” Mr. Suksuwannatorn added.

“By initiating the partnership with the Suan Dusit University, Guardforce Aviation Security is helping to groom well-trained airport personnel to ensure high operational standards that support the country’s tourism development and economic growth. This reaffirms Guardforce’s vision to ‘deliver innovative solutions, fortified security and genuine care for the community, with foresight to identify evolving needs’,” Mr. Suksuwannatorn noted.
