Incredible first ever NYP Christmas Dinner

It’s that time of year, where it’s ok to sink your teeth into a big amount of delicious food and wash it down with some cool alcoholic beverages without thinking of the extra kilos you might have gained from even one evening. And this is exactly how it went when approx. 50 cheerful Nordic Young Professionals (NYP) in Bangkok gathered at the Admiral’s Pub & Restaurant on December 14th to kick off the first ever NYP Christmas Dinner.

On this occasion, two long tables were occupied by excited attendants and the snaps bottles were happily consumed by the eager Christmas celebrators.
Admiral’s Pub & Restaurant provided a wonderful buffet with delicious dishes such as marinated herring, Skagen Toast, marinated Norwegian salmon, cold potato salad, chicken salad, ham, roast beef, homemade Duck Christmas pate, meat balls and much more.

While everybody was enjoying their Scandinavian food, NYP committee member, Ms. Rose Jensen reminded the guests about the traditional rice pudding dessert which has to be eaten with care, as one lucky guest will find the whole almond in his/her portion winning the “almond prize”. Before long, Kristian Skak had found the almond and therefore won a bottle of Absolute Vodka.

Beforehand, the NYP committee had prepared a Christmas game called ‘Kalenderleg’ which substituted the traditional Lucky Draw.  NYP committee member, Ms. Ditte Rosenquist, explained the rules and named the generous sponsors of gifts.  All the guests were involved in the game and were running around to get hold on their preferred gifts.

A special thanks goes to the sponsors: Admiral’s Pub & Restaurant, Bangkok Base, Capaticon, Carlsberg, DanCham, Designers Field, Easy Kart, Finlandia, Grand Millennium Sukhumvit, Hotel Mermaid, Impressions, Oakwood Residence, Rembrandt, ScandAsia and WearYouWant.
