Ingrid Bjørnov to Singapore

Norwegian pianist, singer and entertainer Ingrid Bjørnov visits Singapore in March next year and will give a concert at the Tanglin Club on 6 March 2014. The concert is a privately organised initiative brought to Singapore by Rolv Stokkmo and friends.

Ingrid Bjørnov has entertained Norway for more than three decades. She became a star overnight at the age of 16, as part of the duo Dollie, with childhood friend Benedicte Adrian. Together they had a most adventurous career, releasing 13 albums, receiving multiple awards, representing Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest, performing at EXPO in Vancouver and Sevilla, writing four musicals and touring Scandinavia, France and Canada.

In 2000, Ingrid made her solo debut as a musical stand-up performer. Four shows, six comedy awards, three books and two solo albums later, her career is now rock solid. She works regularly on Norway’s most popular late night radio show, and has also hosted two prime time TV-shows.

Stories from everyday life combined with funny classical music interpretations has given her a recognizable style and a close contact with her audience.

For a talented and surprising take on classical music – and for an intimate encounter with a great performer, save the date 6 March 2014 – details and ticket information to follow.
