The Danish Embassy in Bangkok has taken the initiative to arrange for an exclusive film screening of Danish film “The Hunt” at the most luxurious cinema lounge in Thailand. The event includes a reception, and is an opportunity for companies to treat employees or business contact with the chance to see an Award winning and highly praised Danish film in good company. The screening takes place on June 10.
Directed by Thomas Vinterberg, “The Hunt”, earned a 2014 Academy Award nomination and won several awards at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. It is a troubling depiction of how a lie becomes the truth when gossip, doubt and malice are allowed to flourish. Lucas (Mads Mikkelsen), a highly-regarded school teacher, has been forced to start over having overcome a tough divorce. Just as things are starting to go his way, his life is shattered. An untruthful remark throws the small community into a collective state of hysteria. The lie is spreading and Lucas is forced to fight a lonely fight for his life and dignity.
The Bangkok Airways Blue Ribbon Lounge in Paragon Cineplex has been reserved for this exclusive screening. It will be preceded by a reception also attended by media representatives, where traditional Danish finger food and drinks will be offered as well as a lucky draw over attractive prizes.
In addition to the privilege of watching a film never before screened in Thailand, the guests will be welcomed by H.E. Mikael H. Winther, Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand, with a speech
commencing the event. There will be official invitation letters send out from the Ambassador, which can be distributed to potential VIP partners.
