The investor visit from China includes operators within China Green Companies Alliance at are financially strong operators. This alliance is part of the umbrella organization the China Entrepreneur Club.

The purpose of the visit is to establish business contacts, stimulate entrepreneurship and push for sustainable economic development.

The program includes visits to Volvo Cars, and CEO Håkan Samuelsson. Gothenburg’s Mayor Ann Sofie Hermansson is the host for the city.

“The visit is the result of long-term efforts to build relationships between Gothenburg and Chinese businesses. In the long term it could lead to large new investments that create employment and export opportunities in the same way as Geely’s investment in Volvo Cars has done,” says Business Region Gothenburg CEO Patrik Andersson, who will participate and receive the visitors.

“The Gothenburg region has a world-leading position in the transition of transport in the form of self-driving vehicles, mobility and electrification. At the same time large urban development projects are ongoing with numerous testing opportunities for new solutions.”
