In mid-November MASBA held the yearly Ambassador’s Dinner, which was attended by a record-breaking number of our members and spouses.
For the second year in a row, we were enjoying the elegant environment of Ritz-Carlton in Kuala Lumpur. This time the delicious menu had been prepared by the Executive Chef Mohan K. Deligannu.
As has been the tradition for many years, the Chief Economist from Handelsbanken in Stockholm, Mr. Jan Häggström, explained the prevailing, and near future, economic situation in both Asia and Sweden.
His interesting presentation was followed by the equally traditional short speech by Ambassador Bengt G Carlsson, who guided us through some of the Embassy’s work during the year.
Of course, this dinner would not have been possible without the continuing sponsorship by Handelsbanken Singapore. MASBA would therefore like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to Handelsbanken for its strong support and hope it may continue the same way also next year.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Anna Olsson and her staff from Ritz-Carlton for their never failing efforts to accommodate MASBA’s needs and wishes in all possible ways.
