New Nordic Café Hjem opens in Hong Kong’s Sheung Wan district

There is good news for Nordic food lovers in Hong Kong as TimeOut Hong Kong has announced the opening of a new Nordic cafe in Sheung Wan district near Man Mo Temple.

The new Nordic cafe called Café Hjem offers comforting Nordic delights including healthy drinks, coffee, and cocktails. The food is curated by Finnish chef Jaakko Sorsa, and includes Nordic favorites such as open-faced sandwiches known as Smørrebrød, Nordic meatballs, giant Cinnamon & Cardamom Bun Rolls, cheese plates, and of course smoked Nordic seafood.

‘Hjem’ means ‘home’ in both Danish and Norwegian and the cafe not only aims at revealing the art of ‘hygge’ and embraces life’s simple pleasures, but the cafe also plans to host workshops and collaborations with local independent businesses in their modern space.
