Nikki Beach Phuket Opens – with Swedes at the Helm

Phuket’s most distinguished beach club venue to date has been opened by Nikki Beach Worldwide. In the upscale residential and holiday zone of Bang Tao, on the resort and holiday island’s west coast the family owned & operated brand opened their tenth venue (spread worldwide on locations such as their home base Miami Beach, Florida, USA; St. Tropez, France; St. Barth, French West Indies; Marbella, Spain; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Marrakech, Morocco; Koh Samui, Thailand; Mallorca, Spain; Ibiza, Spain.)

Nikki Beach Phuket follows on the launch of a Nikki Beach on the luxury island of Koh Samui back in 2009. The previous General Manager on Samui, Jon Staffas is now at the helm on Phuket, where Pontus Lantz has joined him as Assistant General Manager – both are Swedish.

The beach club and restaurant is situated right by the sandy Layan Beach. Modelled after the same stylish and contemporary look and feel as all of the brand’s locations around the world, Nikki Beach Phuket is adorned in plush, all-white sun beds, chic drapery and their trademark teepees located throughout the property.

Within its Hotels & Resorts Division a nearby Hotel & Spa will also follow in Phuket.

Since its conception in 1998, Nikki Beach has successfully established itself as a powerhouse destination for those seeking opulence and excellence in service in relaxing & chic atmospheres. Nikki Beach Phuket is no exception, as the island’s most lavish to date.

Nikki Beach Worldwide was at the forefront of the beach club concept, now being a trend on Phuket, which, prior to the arrival of Nikki Beach, has seen a cluster of beach club introductions in recent years.

Now, the ‘original’ – the ultimate beach club concept – has arrived, with its motto ‘a celebration of life’, kept in focus by ensuring that each location combines the key elements of Dining, Entertainment, Music, Fashion, Film and Art into one.

The Grand Opening White Party was a convincing showcase for this concept mix. The much-anticipated opening extravaganza took place on 7 March, with invited and paying guests totalling 2000.

“We are very happy with the opening night, everything went smoothly from start to finish, and, most importantly, the guests seemed to really enjoy themselves,” says Pontus Lantz.

The attentive and friendly service, lavish themed-events and exceptional dining, entertainment and all-around ambiance, is what will make Nikki Beach Phuket the most luxurious haven of choice for the world’s jet-set, VIP and celebrity clientele.

The typical patronage of the international Nikki Beach destinations are those coming to celebrate life, relax and enjoy themselves with friends and family. Their main target is never about age demographics or income scales.

These guests represent a broad spectrum, but particularly a discerning, jet set crowd that travels regularly and has the financial freedom to choose the best.

“Our guests follow us around the world and after the success in Samui, Jack Penrod (founder & owner of Nikki Beach Worldwide) realized that there was more pent-up demand in Thailand. Together with Castlewood Group (developer of Nikki Beach Phuket) was conceived in accordance with his unique visions and design. Nikki Beach targets expats, tourists and Thais,” says Jon Staffas.

Guests are able to spend their days and evenings indulging in refreshing cocktails, endless champagne and an extensive menu of delectable dishes featuring signature tastes and spices representative of all the countries where Nikki Beach is located.

Nikki Beach continues to make its mark in the hottest addresses and trendsetting locales worldwide. Today, the Nikki Beach concept has transcended its international venues and grown into a global, multifaceted luxury lifestyle & hospitality brand.
