On the eve of Human Rights Day, 10 December the Ambassadors for the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway) and members of their staff gathered to gain more insights and share their thoughts about ways to counter the world-wide scourge of gender-based violence.
The participants shared experiences from their own countries and considered ways in which the Nordic countries and other interested actors can contribute to the discussions on gender equality in the South-East Asian region, including how to engage men and boys.
The organisers thank Ms Kanda Vajrabhaya, Thailand’s representative to the ACWC for Women’s Rights, Ms Roberta Clarke, Regional Director for UN Women, Ivy Namallah Josiah, regional council member for APWLD and James Lawrence Lang, regional advisor, UNDP, for bringing their knowledge and insights to the conversation.
