Norway is morally obligated to help the typhoon victims in the Philippines, said Foreign Minister Brende.
– We are following the situation very closely. It’s great compassion here, says Brende to the news agency NTB on the phone from India’s capital New Delhi, where he was attending a meeting between European and Asian foreign ministers.
The Foreign Ministry decided Sunday to give NOK 20 million in emergency assistance to typhoon victims, and Brenda is ready to open the wallet further as soon as one gets a better overview of the situation.
