Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit to be a guest speaker at Women Deliver in Malaysia

 

The Women Deliver conference will take place in Kuala Lumpur from May 28-30. HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit will be attending as a guest speaker on challenges related to HIV/Aids. She participates at the Conference in Her capacity as Special Envoy for UN Aids.

HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit was appointed Special Representative for UNAIDS in 2006. During her stay in Kuala Lumpur, she will participate in several panels discussing the challenges related to combating HIV/Aids, with a particular focus on issues related to women and children. The Crown Princess will also meet with youth that work to disseminate information on reproductive health among their peers and visit a home for women and children infected or affected by HIV/Aids.

At the conference panels will also include daughter of former President George W. Bush, Barbara Bush and Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President, Bill Clinton.
