ScandiDos from Sweden has started the production for both products and deliveries to begin in the summer to countries outside the United States of Delta4 Phantom and Delta4 Discover, with a first customer order to Thailand. Also, their distributors in China have signed an agreement regarding these products. Demand is high among both new and existing customers who want to buy the new system, reports ScandiDos AB.
With its product Delta4 Phantom ScandiDos has taken a leading role in advanced dosimetry and quality assurance of modern radiation therapy of cancer. Delta4 Discover also opens the possibility, during treatment, to perform radiation dose verification and thus increase the quality and safety of the treatment. ScandiDos measurement systems and advanced computing program provide doctors, physicists and patient confirmation that the advanced and complicated treatment can be delivered as planned.
“We are in a very intense and exciting moments of ScandiDos history. After a difficult 2014, we see the future with confidence and interest in our new products is large market. We see increased opportunities to improve the channels on the market and we are taking us into new attractive markets; later emerging markets Philippines and Iran,” says CEO Görgen Nilsson.
“The need to assure the quality of modern radiotherapy in full is significant and we are seeing great interest from customers to also assure the quality of the actual treatment of the patient. In the same way that we introduced Delta4 Phantom customers want to see that the technology works and we have now started to book up demonstrations of Delta4 Discover during the summer and fall.”
Headquarters is in Uppsala Science Park, where among other things, R&D is performed. Sales is carried out from the sales offices in USA and China, directly in the Nordic countries and as well as via dealers in total of more than 40 countries. ScandiDos has cooperation agreements with the two largest therapy companies Varian and Elekta, which use ScandiDos products in their sales system.
