The Scandinavian Society Siam (SSS) are planning a trip for family and friends to the Thai-Danish Dairy Co. in the Saraburi Province.
On 23 and 24 November 2013 you have the chance to join SSS on a weekend tour to Muak Lek in the Saraburi Province.
The main attraction on the trip is the Thai-Danish Dairy farm established in the 1960s. There will be a guided tour in a tractor around the estate to see the cows, the original stables and the rich pastures. Also a short film about the history of Muak Lek will be shown.
So far the plan is to spend the evening and night at the Danish owned Eco Lodge, where they have a pool and different activity opportunities for grown ups as well as children.
For more information and to register, please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org before September 30.
12.00 AM – In Muak Lek village we will have lunch at an affiliated restaurant near The Thai-Danish Dairy Center. The place is down to earth, lot of space also for the kids, but the food is magnificent, based on the best raw materials from the area.
At the exhibition area there is a playground, where the children for example can learn how to milk a cow by hand! Grown ups are most welcome to try too.
17.00 PM – onwards. – A short drive to ECO-Lodge (look homepage). Dinner, grill, swim and eventually sleep. (The kids can bring tents if they so wish). Dinner will be as you order yourself.
We will arrange a little night tour in the jungle around the resort. This is for children of all ages; we will ask the local tigers to stay indoors that night. We need some co-organizers. Creative people please come forward!
7.30 – 10.30 AM – Breakfast together at the resort. Then time to relax, take a dip in the pool or rent a bike for a trip in the cool foothills of Khao Yai National Park.
11.00 AM – On our way home we will briefly visit The Railway Station of Muak Lek – where we find the memorial for Assistant land Surveyor Knud Lyhne Rahbek, who died here, 18 years old in 1897.
We leave before noon in order to avoid the big rush back to Bangkok.
14.00 PM – Back on Sukhumvit
