According to a survey by Bangkok’s The Nation newspaper, property companies are increasing their investment in Phuket, with plans to develop more than THB50 billion 
(USD1.6 billion) in residential and commercial projects by the end of 2014. Research from CBRE Thailand indicates that demand in Phuket is coming from at home and abroad, with international buyers hailing primarily from Scandinavia and other parts of Europe as well as Singapore.
