Maureen Hoppers and Niklas Dahlberg from the Swedish Institute’s Study Scholarships Program visited Cambodia 3-7 December. They informed Cambodian students about the possibility to study at Master’s level at a university in Sweden with full scholarship.
During the visits to the cities of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Battambang the Swedish Institute representatives held presentations to over 2000 students at the major universities. The visit was much appreciated and the students were keen to know more about the scholarship program. Information can be found on www.studyinsweden.se/scholarships
Cambodia is one of the 12 prioritized countries in this scholarship program. So far there have been few applicants from Cambodia, probably because of lack of information. About 150 scholarships will be awarded for next year. The possibility to apply for studies in Sweden opened on December 1st at http://www.universityadmissions.se/
