A group of popular artists from China visited Sweden on September 20 with performances to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The event with the Embrace China Performances was organized by All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles with help from Stockholm Chinese Association.
One of the persons behind the event Xing Yanzhuang said to China Radio International that it was the fifth year that China has sent out artists to give Embrace China performances such as Chinese singing, dancing, instrument playing, acrobatics and others.
“Over the past five years, we have sent out 100 artist groups to over 60 countries and gave 500 performances. We like to make contributions to cultural exchanges between China and Sweden as well as other countries,” he said to the radio station.
