Sweden’s Minister for Infrastructure Anna Johansson is visiting Shanghai and Beijing on 4-7 April 2016. She will meet with the Chinese Minister of Transport and participate in a seminar on autonomous vehicles.
In Shanghai, during April 4-5, the Minister will meet with representatives from the city, and participate in a seminar on furthering Chinese investment in Sweden.
The Minister will then travel to Beijing, where she will have a bilateral meeting with the Chinese Minister of Transport, Yang Chuantang. She will also attend a seminar with Volvo Cars on autonomous vehicles.
The visit marks the beginning of efforts related to the Memorandum of Understanding on the area of transport that Sweden and China entered into in 2015. The memorandum includes all modes of transport and will lead to a closer cooperation between Sweden and China within priority areas such as traffic safety, innovative vehicles, green airports and sustainable sea transport.
