Swedish Ambassador congratulated Erasmus awardees from Thailand

Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand Staffan Herrström attended the “Erasmus Pre-departure Orientation and Networking event” hosted by European Union in Thailand.

Taking place at Westin Hotel on July 6, the event was organized to congratulate 176 awardees from Thailand. Some of this year awardees will join their short term exchange courses between 2019 and 2020 in Europe and some of them will be going to Sweden.

The event was inaugurated by EU Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola who gave the opening remarks about the importance of education, European-Thai cultural exchanges and networking among Erasmus+ awardees and alumnis.

At the event, Ambassador Herrström congratulated new awardees and also gave them guidance about living and studying in Sweden. He also met with alumnus who shared their experiences about their lives in Sweden.

“Great to meet both awardees and alumnis – including (alumnis) from my own university in Uppsala,” the Ambassador wrote on his Facebook account.
