A seminar titled Short Lived Climate Forcers, was held in Beijing on January 15 and 16, jointly organized by the Swedish Ministry of Environment, The Environmental Protection Agency and China´s National Development and Reform Commission.

The seminar had representation from about thirty Swedish and Chinese scientific experts. China´s chief negotiater on climate change, Su Wei, opened the seminar, and was followed by the Swedish Ambassador in China, Lars Fredén, and Sweden’s Ambassador for Climate Change, Anna Lindstedt.
The importances of China´s role in climate change and the challenges faced were up for discussion. After the opening presentations two days of discussions and exchange of ideas and experiences from researchers from both countries followed.
