Swedish company to build data center in the Philippines

The telecompany Global Telecom of the Philippines has tasked the Swedish data centre manufacturer Flexenclosure to deploy a prefabricated data center on the southern island of Mindanao.

And apparently such constructions doesn’t really take time. The data center is expected to be up and running in the third quarter of 2018.

Flexenclosure has teamed up with Orissa Wicomm, to deliver the new facility, with Manila-based Orissa providing system integration and ongoing support once it is operational.

And Flexenclosure is slowly gaining their way into the Asia Pacific market, according to the CEO:

“With new projects in Australia, Palau, Samoa, Fiji and Myanmar, 2017 was a year of major expansion for us in Asia Pacific,” said David King, CEO, Flexenclosure. “This latest project with Globe Telecom and Orissa Wicomm in the Philippines marks the start of what we expect will be another year of significant growth in the region.”
