The Embassy of Sweden in Malaysia hosted a dinner in the Honour of Alfred Nobel on 10 December (the same day of the Nobel Banquet held every year in Stockholm City Hall), held at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.

Around 120 guests showed up, including our Guest of Honour and a truly Malaysian entrepreneur in the spirit of Nobel, Tan Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes, CEO and founder of Air Asia. Datuk Nicole David, best woman squash player of all time was also present at the event. It was also a great opportunity to award Honorary Consul James Wong Tsun Hyun with the Order of the Polar Star since he was not able to receive it directly from Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf in Stockholm earlier this year, writes the Swedish embassy.
