Investing in energy efficiency is critical to meeting future energy demand and mitigating climate change. It has the clearest impact on saving money, improving business results, and delivering more services for consumers.

Swedish companies SKF, H&M, Tetra Pak and Volvo Construction Equipment shared their global strategic visions, achievements and challenges in China. However, most of the program was dedicated to group discussions and practice sharing among the workshop participants: environmental specialists, CSR- and sourcing managers.

The around 35 participants came not only from big companies, but also from Swedish companies with relatively smaller operation in China, such as LKAB, Jula and Crem International. The workshop was a platform for the participants to learn from and inspire each other.

The workshop was sponsored by SKF China and co-organized by the CSR Centre of the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing, Business Sweden in China and WWF.
