A female Swedish tourist was found dead in a house in Phuket’s Muang district on Monday 10 June, police said.
Marianne Aino, 57, was believed to have been dead for at least 10 days before she was discovered. She was found lying on a sofa in the living room wearing a T-shirt and jeans.
There was a glass of beer on the coffee table along with a number of pills and cigarettes. Police said the neighbours had complained of a bad smell coming from the house.
Police said there was no sign of a struggle and that no foul play is suspected. The body was sent to Vachira Phuket Hospital for an autopsy.
