Thailand seminar on innovation highlights case Sweden

On Monday 7 September Prof Charles Edquist, Centre for Innovation Research and Competence in the Learning Economy (CIRCLE), Lund University, Sweden was invited to Bangkok as a keynote speaker for the seminar ‘Driving Innovation through Public Policy: The Case of Sweden’.

The National Innovation Agency (NIA) and National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI) were the organisers of the seminar held at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.

The seminar covered the trends in innovation policy in Sweden, public risk capital provision, and innovation-related procurement.

Swedish attendance from within Thailand consisted in Sweden’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Staffan Herrström, and Mr Jan Eriksson, the President of Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce as honorary guests.
