The Embassy in Beijing holds summer party for Danes in China

 

On Saturday, June 8, the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing and Danish Chamber of Commerce in China (DCCC) held the annual summer party for Danes in Beijing and the surrounding area 280 adults and children showed up in great mood despite the rather unstable weather.

During the day different activities for both children and adults took place. Among them a dance lesson, a Tai Chi lesson and a treasure hunt with a quiz about Denmark, where the lucky winner won a deluxe champagne brunch for two persons at St. Regis Hotel in Beijing. Furthermore there was a large bouncing castle, where the children could play, while the adults enjoyed a hot dog and played croquet.

 

At the party the hotel Radisson Blu provided a barbecue and Carlsberg were in charge of the cold refreshments for the guests, who enjoyed  a Chinese band.

The day ended with the singing of the Danish song “Midsommervisen”.
