Last year’s state visit by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia to Thailand has inspired the authorities in Pitsanulok province to create a lasting memory there.
“The forestry industry organization will develop a path following the route the Swedish royals took in Kao Krajang forest, Pitsanulok, last year. It will be a Thai-Swedish showcase with relevant information about the two countries,” says Pitsanoluk deputy governor Sumet Saengnimnual to Khaosod newspaper.
Among the planned facilities in the area is a greenhouse, a large Viking ship model and road improvements. Seminars are planned to further hammer out the details of the Thai-Swedish forest project.
