Skagen Denmark introduces a limited edition watch, the Skagen Dragon Watches Collection, that’s exclusive to Malaysia. There are only 120 each of the men’s and women’s design.
Drawn by the edgy contours and cool sophistication of the Chinese dragon, this is Skagen’s first foray into incorporating a symbolical Oriental design into Danish structure. The modern interpretation marries seamlessly to form the Danish minimalist design.
The end product is an understated modernist structure of metallic silver mesh with a dragon embossing on the face of the watch. A single red symbol sits at the top of the watch’s face, the symbol of power and individuality.
For the men, this symbol of power comes in the form of Chinese characters in beautiful calligraphy. For the women, it is a single red ruby, strong and dazzling. A specially crafted red box is used to house this special collection, completing the royal treatment worthy of the dragon.
Two decades ago, Copenhagen émigrés Henrik and Charlotte Jorst founded Skagen Designs on the principle that beautifully designed high-quality objects can be created at reasonable prices.
