A Visit to National Science and Technology Development Agency

The European-Asean Business Centre in Thailand (EABC) organized a group visit to the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) on Wednesday 4 April.


The EABC looks to strengthen strategic partnership in various areas to contribute towards fostering closer trade and investment ties between Thailand and the EU.

The purpose of the visit was to learn of the work of NSTDA, especially in the capacity of Thailand’s national coordinator to promote the participation of Thai researchers in funded projects of the 7th Framework Program for Research and Technology Development (FP7).

FP7 is the EU’s major research and innovation funding instrument with Thailand as one of the beneficiaries for many key innovation and researches. 

Led by Dr. Thavirap Tantiwongse from GlaxoSmithKlien in his capacity of the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Working Group, EABC delegation discussed on the possibility of further collaboration and how EABC could work with NSTDA in the most efficient way.
