Vinashin to build 10 ships for Clipper

The Viet Nam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) recently signed in principle a contract to build ten container ships, each with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes, for the Danish company Clipper.
The ships, designed by the Danish group Carbro, will be 84-85 metres long and 6.70 metres wide, reports Vietnam News Agency. Each has a container capacity of 332 TEU. They are planned to be built by the Ben Kien and Song Cam shipyards.
Vinashin said both sides are negotiating the price in order to officially sign the contract.
