The Viet Nam-Sweden Hospital and Viet Nam Fund for Children provided surgery rehabilitation for free of charge to 253 children between the ages of 3 to 16 years.
Among these children, 97 received remedial surgery on moving member malformations, while 156 with harelips, cleft palate and eye diseases were operated at the Viet Nam-Sweden Hospital.
The cost of the surgery was covered by donations worth 264 million VND from the Viet Nam Fund for Children and northern Quang Ninh province. Meanwhile, the Hai Phong-based functional rehabilitation center and the Uong Bi town-based Viet Nam-Sweden Hospital financially support the patients’ hospital fees and assist them in carrying out physiotherapy exercises.
