Carlsberg Masters 2004 tees off November in Vietnam

Carlsberg Masters Vietnam 2004, the biggest golf tournament to be organized in Vietnam this year, will start on November 4 at Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club in Hai Duong Province. Asian top ranking golfers will compete for prizes, valued US$200,000.
     Carlsberg, the world leading beer producer is the main sponsor of the tournament. Co-sponsors are Thai Airways, GM Daewoo, Canon, Pepsi, and Hilton Hanoi Opera. Motor firm Daewoo will offer a car for Hole in One. The partners are also I-Golf, Vietnam-French hospital, LG, Aquafina, Eurowindows, VinaAusteel and Nippon Paint.
     According to Organization board, this is the 19th event of the Asian Tours, scheduled to attract 140 professional golfers from Asia and some American famous players. The tournament will include two qualifying rounds to select 65 competitors for the final two rounds of competition. Each of the 65 players will receive a US$1,000 bonus, with first prize receiving $32,000.
     Carlsberg has signed a sponsorship contract of three years for this professional sport prize with the view to boost the development of this sport.
