From October this year, Maersk line will extend its service to include another direct line from Göteborg in Sweden to Nansha, Ningbo, Shanghai and Qingdao in China.
Kenneth Soegaard, Line and Marketing Manager for Maersk Line in Scandinavia, believes that the service will be in demand by Scandinavian customers who are investing in emerging markets.
Scheduled arrivals in Gothenburg of the new route will be on Saturdays.The route will be serviced by a modern and energy-efficient vessel with a capacity of approximately 8000 TEU.
The new line is expected to shorten the transportation time for many Swedish companies.
