On 31st August, 2012, the Minister Counselor at the Danish Embassy in Beijing, Mr. Søren Jacobsen, opened the Denmark-Heilongjiang Projects Exchange Seminar on Heating Solutions in cooperation with Heilongjiang Provincial Development Reform Commission. The seminar laid the ground for expanding Chinese-Danish cooperation in the area of district Heating.
Sharing knowledge across borders
About 50 representatives from China and Denmark participated in the seminar that focused on the technical and operational challenges that is connected to the new district heating concepts in China, and how Danish companies can participate in the development in the area. Among the participants were representatives from government level as well as various companies.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Søren Jacobsen said, “I believe it is of utmost importance to do these kinds of exchanges between Danish and Chinese companies, not the least in relation to Heilongjiang, where the potential for co-operation is huge. In Denmark we have solid solutions within District Heating, and I know that all the Danish companies represented here today will be more than happy to share their knowledge with you.“
Director at the Foreign Capital Utilization Department Mr. Wang Xiquan, also spoke at the seminar on the possibilities in Heilongjiang. During the seminar the Danish and Chinese companies shared experiences and information on specific projects.
