Bangkok shoppers’ craze for Swedish H&M opening

Despite the unpleasant weather condition on the morning of Saturday 29 September 2012, Bangkok shoppers were queuing – in the rain outside Siam Paragon shopping complex before it opened at 10am. – for the grand opening of Thailand’s first branch of Swedish brand H&M (Hennes & Mauritz).

It was in fact 7.30am on the Saturday morning when the photo of a long queue of shoppers with umbrellas was taken.  The craze of Bangkok shoppers is a good sign for the Swedish brand to see its success in the Thai market.

The first branch opened today with spacious two levels of over 3,300 sqm in Siam Paragon shopping complex. The second branch is scheduled to open later this year at The Mall Bangkapi.
