Denmark opens representative office in Myanmar on 4 November

Danish Prime Minister Mrs. Helle Thorning-Schmidt will visit Myanmar on 4 November 2012 to officially open Denmark’s new representative office in Yangon. During the visit she will also visit Nobel Peace Price laureate Aung San Suu Kyi. The visit is a sign of Denmark’s support for the ongoing reform process in Myanmark, a press statement released by her office on Friday 19 October said.
From Myanmar, the Prime Minister will continue to Laos for a two day visit where she will will participate in the Asia-Europe summit (Asem) on 5 November. 
On 7 – 8 November 2012, Ms Thorning-Schmidt will visit Vietnam with the purpose of backing up the expanding opportunities for Danish companies in Vietnam.
