Norway opens representative office in Myanmar on 4 November

Norwegian Prime Minister Mr. Jens Stoltenberg will visit Myanmar on 3. – 4 November among others to perform the official opening of Norway’s new embassy representative office in Yangon. He comes to Myanmar after three days official visit to Japan.
While in Yangon, it is expected that the Prime Minister will also see the Nobel Peace Price laureate Aung San Suu Kyi who visited Norway in June at the invitation of Jens Stoltenberg.
Opening of the new  embassy representative office will be performed jointly with the Danish Prime Minister Ms. Helle Thorning-Schmidt as the two nations will share offices in Yangon. According to the Danish Prime Minister’s office, the representative offices will be within an embassy complex shared by all the Nordic countries. 
 From Myanmar, the Prime Minister will travel to Vientiane, Laos, where he will participate in the Asia-Europe summit (Asem) on 5 November.
