HMS Carlscrona visits Singapore and Bangkok

On March 1, 2005 will HMS Carlscrona, the royal Swedish navy’s training ship, arrive in Singapore on its fourth trip around the world since the launch 1983.
Bangkok is the second port of call in South East Asia. HMS Carlscrona will anchor at the Thai capital on the 7th of March.
HMS Carlscrona leaves her naval base in Karlskrona 21 January 2005 and is due to return there on Sweden’s national day, the 6th of June 2005. The ship will then have sailed some 28 000 nautical miles around the globe.
These trips are a long navy tradition and combines training and exercise with promotion of Sweden at the ports of call.
The programmes for HMS Carlscrona related activities in Singapore and Bangkok will be worked out later.
