A memorandum of understanding was signed between Norwegian company GenoMar and Agri-food and Veterinary authority of Singapore (AVA). The memorandum deals with the development of a genetic traceability protocol system for fish. The Tilapia will be used a model in the project, that hopefully will result in the first fingerlings with genetically traceable origins.
