Norcham Thailand AGM 2005

The Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce’s Annual General Meeting was successful held at the Sheraton Grande Sukumvit, Bangkok on 15th March 2005.
      During 2004, the Chamber’s office was moved to a better facilitiy and more functional office premises on Phayathai road.
      The Chamber played an increasing role for Norwegian and Thai business relationships through out the year.
      This year the chamber will be instrumental in creating venues and channels for exchanging information between members, increasing business conditions and opportunities, also increasing trade and investments between Thailand and Norway.
      The President of the Chamber, Choakdee Dhamasaroj was re-elected. Resignations of four governors had been announced; Nils Gunnar Hjellegjerde, Ellen Hertzberg, Jorgen Udvang and Lars Ole Allum. Three new governors has been elected; Paisan Etitum, Sverre Golten and Lars Hammerstad.
      Also the number of members increased from 50 to 58.
      The Highlight of the year was the Royal Norwegian Crown Prince Couple visiting Thailand in November. The Ambassador handed over a framed poster showing the Crown Prince Couple Visit in a series of images, to the re-elected President.
